What is Cha-Ching?

Cha-Ching is a governance participation tracking platform that helps DAOs and Web3 projects track, reward, and archive governance contributions transparently and permanently. It combines real-time tracking with on-chain bounty payouts and seamless GitHub integration.

Creating Your Account

Getting started with Cha-Ching is simple:

  1. Sign in with GitHub: Click the "Sign In" button and authenticate with your GitHub account. This allows us to track your contributions across repositories.
  2. Complete your profile: After signing in, you'll be directed to your dashboard where you can view your profile and activity.
  3. Connect your wallet (optional): To claim on-chain rewards, you'll need to connect a compatible Web3 wallet.

Understanding Epochs

Epochs are time-boxed governance cycles where contributors participate in missions and earn rewards. Each epoch has:

  • Start and End Dates: A defined timeframe for participation
  • Missions: Specific tasks and contributions to complete
  • Reward Pool: Total rewards available for distribution
  • Leaderboard: Rankings based on contributions during the epoch

You can participate in multiple epochs simultaneously, and your contributions are tracked individually for each epoch.

How Rewards Work

The reward system in Cha-Ching follows a transparent process:

  1. Complete Missions: Earn points by completing various governance missions (PRs, issues, reviews, etc.)
  2. Points Accumulation: Your points are tracked in real-time and visible on your dashboard and the leaderboard
  3. Epoch Conclusion: When an epoch ends, rewards are calculated based on your contribution percentage
  4. Claim Rewards: Navigate to your Rewards page to claim your earned rewards
  5. On-chain Payout: Rewards are paid out via blockchain transactions to your connected wallet

You can track the status of your claims in real-time, with notifications for each step of the process.
