Rewards & Claims

Learn how to view, claim, and track your earned rewards

How Rewards Work

Cha-Ching rewards contributors with on-chain token payments for their governance participation. Here's how the reward system works:

  1. Earn Points: Complete missions during an epoch to accumulate points
  2. Epoch Ends: When an epoch concludes, total points are calculated
  3. Reward Calculation: Your share of the reward pool is calculated based on your percentage of total points
  4. Claim Available: Rewards become claimable on your Rewards page
  5. On-chain Payout: When you claim, tokens are sent to your connected wallet via blockchain transaction

Viewing Your Rewards

To see your earned rewards, navigate to your Rewards page. Here you'll find:

  • Total Available: Sum of all claimable rewards across all epochs
  • By Epoch: Breakdown of rewards earned in each epoch
  • Claim Status: Whether rewards are pending, ready to claim, or already claimed
  • Token Information: Type and amount of tokens for each reward
  • Transaction History: Past claims and their blockchain transaction details

Claiming Rewards

When your rewards are ready to claim:

  1. Connect Wallet: Make sure your Web3 wallet is connected to Cha-Ching
  2. Navigate to Rewards: Go to your Rewards page
  3. Review Available Claims: See which rewards are ready to be claimed
  4. Initiate Claim: Click the "Claim" button next to a reward or use "Claim All" for multiple rewards
  5. Confirm Transaction: Approve the transaction in your wallet
  6. Wait for Processing: The blockchain transaction will process (usually takes a few moments)
  7. Receive Tokens: Once confirmed, tokens appear in your wallet

Transaction Status

Claims go through several stages, each with its own status:

โณ Pending

Reward is calculated but not yet ready for claiming. Epoch may still be finalizing.

โœ… Ready to Claim

Reward is available and you can initiate the claim process.

๐Ÿ”„ Processing

Claim has been initiated and the blockchain transaction is being processed.

๐Ÿ” Retrying (1/3, 2/3, 3/3)

Transaction failed and is being automatically retried. You'll be notified of each attempt.

โœ… Completed

Successfully claimed! Tokens have been sent to your wallet.

โŒ Failed

Claim failed after all retry attempts. Contact support for assistance.

Real-time Claim Tracking

Cha-Ching provides real-time updates during the claim process so you always know the status:

  • Toast Notifications: Get instant notifications for each status change
  • Processing Alert: A visible alert banner appears while claims are being processed
  • Progress Indicators: Visual feedback shows transaction progress
  • Auto-Retry Notifications: If a claim fails, you're notified of automatic retry attempts
  • Success Confirmation: Clear confirmation when tokens arrive in your wallet

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: Keep the Rewards page open while claims are processing to see real-time updates. You can also safely close it - updates are saved and you'll be notified via your notification center.

On-chain Payouts

All reward payouts are executed as blockchain transactions, providing:

  • Transparency: Every transaction is publicly visible on the blockchain
  • Verification: You can verify your payout using blockchain explorers
  • Security: Tokens go directly to your wallet - no intermediaries
  • Permanence: Transaction records are immutable and permanent
  • Transaction Links: Each claim includes a link to view the transaction on a blockchain explorer

Wallet Connection

To receive rewards, you need to connect a compatible Web3 wallet:

  1. Supported Wallets: MetaMask, WalletConnect, and other Web3 wallets
  2. Connect: Click the "Connect Wallet" button in the header or on the Rewards page
  3. Approve Connection: Authorize Cha-Ching to see your wallet address (read-only)
  4. Verify Address: Confirm your wallet address is displayed correctly
  5. Network: Ensure your wallet is on the correct network for the reward tokens

โš ๏ธ Important: Double-check that your wallet address is correct before claiming rewards. Tokens sent to an incorrect address cannot be recovered!

Claim History

Your Rewards page maintains a complete history of all claims:

  • Date & Time: When each claim was made
  • Amount: How many tokens were claimed
  • Epoch: Which epoch the reward came from
  • Status: Current status of the claim
  • Transaction Hash: Blockchain transaction ID for verification
  • Explorer Link: Direct link to view the transaction on a blockchain explorer

Troubleshooting Claims

If you encounter issues with claiming rewards:

Wallet Connection Issues

  • Ensure your wallet extension is installed and unlocked
  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting your wallet
  • Check that you're on the correct network
  • Clear browser cache and try again

Transaction Failures

  • Check that you have enough gas/network fees in your wallet
  • Verify network congestion isn't causing delays
  • Wait for automatic retry attempts to complete
  • If all retries fail, contact support with your transaction details

Missing Rewards

  • Verify the epoch has fully concluded
  • Check that your contributions were counted (review epoch leaderboard)
  • Ensure you met any minimum threshold requirements
  • Wait for rewards calculation to complete (can take a few hours after epoch end)

Reward Notifications

Stay informed about your rewards through the notification system. You'll receive notifications for:

  • New rewards becoming available to claim
  • Claim processing status updates
  • Successful claim completions
  • Failed claims requiring attention
  • Retry attempts for failed transactions

Check your Notifications page for a complete history of reward-related updates.

Tips for Claiming Rewards

  • Batch Claims: Use "Claim All" to save on gas fees when claiming multiple rewards
  • Gas Optimization: Claim during low network activity for lower fees
  • Regular Checks: Visit your Rewards page after each epoch ends
  • Wallet Security: Always verify the claim transaction details in your wallet
  • Keep Records: Save transaction hashes for your records and tax purposes
  • Monitor Status: Watch for notification alerts about claim status
